Looks like Oracle is moving into the OpenSource Database space. They just recently acquired InnoDB.

I've been using Oracle 9i Application Server / Portal and they don't have a very robust development environment. The user interface is really poor... barely intuitive. With Oracle moving into OpenSource, maybe the OTN community will increase collaborative efforts. The OTN is very slow and Tom's backlogged by weeks.
