End of July 2005 Yahoo Update

We've noticed some changes to Yahoo's results, which have been fluctuating for over a month. At times, Yahoo's cache dated back three weeks and then within a day or two, reverted to more recent caches.

Before the weekend, it appears that Yahoo permanently changed its results which has been static for 5 days now.

We ran tests over the weekend to test the changes.

The results proved to be neither better in terms of quality nor more relevant, though they were much different from a month ago.

The changes have not improved the quality or the relevancy of the Web results on Yahoo. Instead of the usual spam and affiliate sites that seem to dominate the top results, I now see new spam and affiliate sites.
